Last year, INPRO designed, built, integrated, tested, and delivered a novel robotic work cell to help Whitley’s Peanut Factory in Hayes, VA meet their rising product demand in an automated way, helping them to grow their business in the process. The two companies realized a connection early on in their work together as fellow Hokie alumni, so when the project was completed, the Virginia Tech community needed to hear about it! Check-out the recent article and video in VT News as well as the video highlighting the project.

INPRO Develops a Flame Treating System to Promote Better Adhesion for Bottle Decorators
ACTEGA North America Technologies Inc., a member of ALTANA, has developed a novel bottle decorating system that rapidly applies beautiful, intricate bottle decorations for products like wine, beer, spirits, or other beverages and products packaged in bottles and jars. The system employs their unique Signite™ technology that applies pre-printed decorations with significantly reduced waste using a well-engineered applicator machine that ACTEGA developed. Recognizing early the importance of pre-treatment of the containers upstream of the decoration application, ACTEGA contracted INPRO to develop an add-on flame treating system to their applicator that could process up to 60 bottles per minute of all different bottle sizes up to 6” in diameter with 8” tall treat areas.
INPRO Commissions UV Towers on Armor Plastics’ Polycarbonate Coating Line
After providing consulting services to Armor Plastics in the development of their pilot line for coating and curing polycarbonate sheets, INPRO was then tapped to provide a complete dual tower UV system for the final full-scale production line. They needed turn-key support from experts capable of understanding their process, so INPRO offered them knowledgeable, reliable consulting resources and a completely integrated UV system along with start-up support that well-exceeded their expectations.
Fender Converts to UV with INPRO’s Engineering and Integration Services
In early 2020, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, maker of some of the finest electric guitars in the world, began investigating the potential to decrease the cycle time on their guitar body undercoat line in their Corona, CA facility, while decreasing their Work In Progress (WIP) and reclaiming valuable factory floorspace that was otherwise occupied by countless racks of drying guitar bodies.
